Rick Ross compares album sales with The Game
Rick Ross has responded to criticism regarding his album sales by comparing his recent performance to that of The Game. Ross noted that his album, ‘Set in Stone’, moved approximately 19,000 units in its debut week, placing it at No. 39 on the Billboard 200. In contrast, The Game’s ‘The Documentary 3’ debuted at No. 68 with just under 15,000 units.
Ross used the comparison to argue that high-profile guest features do not inherently guarantee commercial success. He highlighted that The Game’s project included appearances by artists such as Kanye West, Drake, Snoop Dogg, and E-40, which he referred to as a ‘stimulus package’.
Despite the comparison of sales figures, Ross offered words of encouragement to The Game, stating that the West Coast needs him and urging him to continue making music.
