Brazilian artists mourn deaths of singer Rick Sollo and Paulo César Marques

The Brazilian entertainment community is mourning the loss of singer Rick Sollo, who died at age 59 following a helicopter crash in the Urubici region of Santa Catarina. The accident, which occurred on September 21, also claimed the lives of four others: businessman Bruno Avelar, videomaker Paulo Soares, and the pilot and co-pilot. The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) reported that the Bell 430 helicopter was in uncontrolled airspace at the time and encountered heavy rain, strong winds, and low visibility. Investigations by Cenipa and the Civil Police are ongoing.

In the wake of the tragedy, Rick's musical partner, Renner, received public support from his wife, Thereza Oberger, who expressed her commitment to supporting him through his grief. Rick's son, Victor Henrique, also shared an emotional tribute on social media regarding the sudden loss.

Separately, actor Bruno Gagliasso is mourning the death of his father, Paulo César Marques, who passed away at age 79 in Rio de Janeiro after being hospitalized following a stroke. The death prompted a gesture of reconciliation from Bruno's brother, Thiago Gagliasso, who set aside long-standing political differences to offer solidarity to the family.
