Ricky Saints challenges Rey Fenix for AAA World Cruiserweight Title

Ricky Saints has signaled his intention to challenge Rey Fenix for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. The tension was highlighted in a WWE digital exclusive where Saints interrupted an interview with Fenix regarding an upcoming tournament for Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship.

Saints warned Fenix to focus on his title reign or risk losing the championship to him. Fenix originally won the title by defeating Laredo Kid on May 30 and most recently defended it against JD McDonagh on the July 31 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Saints' recent activity has primarily been on Main Event, following a United States Championship match against Trick Williams at Night of Champions on June 27.
