Medan Mayor Rico Waas addresses community concerns in Medan Tembung

Medan Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas held a community outreach session titled 'Sapa Warga' in Medan Tembung on Saturday, August 8, 2026. During the event, the mayor met with residents to address local issues including drainage, road conditions, street lighting, waste management, and public security.

In response to resident complaints regarding aging infrastructure, Waas committed to repairing specific drainage systems and roadworks on Jalan Rela and Jalan Keruntung within the current year. He also addressed administrative concerns, noting that KTP and family card services can now be managed at the district level to improve efficiency.

Additionally, the mayor discussed social welfare, including aid for the elderly and people with disabilities, and announced that the Medan City Government will implement a 'Cheap Food Movement' across 268 locations to help manage food prices and combat inflation.
