Rico Waas urges KPRI Pemko Medan to improve professional governance

Medan Mayor Rico Waas has called for the KPRI Pemko Medan consumer cooperative to strengthen its governance, increase member participation, and develop its business operations more professionally and sustainably. During the 2025 fiscal year annual member meeting, Waas emphasized that the cooperative's success should be measured by member trust and active involvement rather than just assets and profits.

Waas encouraged members to move beyond being mere service users by contributing ideas and optimizing the cooperative's business units. He also urged the cooperative to seek collaborations with various Medan municipal government units. The Mayor stressed that management and supervisors must prioritize integrity, transparency, professionalism, and accountability to ensure the cooperative provides tangible benefits to its members.
