Ride Revolution aims to revive British continental cycling

Ride Revolution, a Scottish-based cycling team operating since 2023, has announced ambitions to revitalize the British continental cycling scene. The team aims to secure a UCI promotion by 2028.

The British continental circuit, once a robust ecosystem, declined significantly toward the end of the previous decade due to political and economic factors. Currently, the UK lacks active continental formations, with the INEOS Racing Academy being the only UK-based continental outfit, though it primarily competes on the European mainland.

Following successful performances in national and international races, including the Tour of Reservoir and Irish Rás Mumhan, Ride Revolution plans to use 2027 as a transitional year. During this period, the team intends to increase investment, expand its international and UCI calendar, and enhance professional support for its riders to establish a more permanent professional structure.
