RIDER film set for Italian theatrical release in October
The film ‘RIDER’, directed by Roan Johnson and Davide ‘Dade’ Pavanello, is scheduled for theatrical release in Italy starting October 8, distributed by I Wonder Pictures. The film, which was selected as the closing film for the 41st Venice International Critics Week, represents a collaboration between cinema and contemporary music.
Starring Lorenzo Aloi and singer-songwriter Kaze, the story follows Samuele (Sami), a food delivery rider in Milan. The character serves as a metaphor for the struggles of young people facing precarious work and the desire for social mobility. The film features a musical cast including artists such as Rosa Chemical, Levante, and Ensi.
A promotional tour featuring the cast and directors will precede the official release, with scheduled premieres in cities including Lucca, Turin, Milan, Brescia, and Bologna throughout late September and early October.
