Real estate shifts: Logistics hubs and residential conversions gain momentum

Various real estate and consumer developments are occurring across Poland and the United States. In Poland, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) is investigating numerous complaints regarding additional fees at private parking lots near retail stores. Drivers report issues with poor signage and the automatic rejection of complaints, even when presenting store receipts.

In the residential and commercial sectors, several projects are underway. In Kraków, plans involve converting the Holiday Inn complex into approximately 8,500 square meters of residential space. In Potęgowo, a 6 million PLN investment is funding 12 new social housing units. Gliwice is continuing its program to build over 1,000 rental apartments by 2029. Additionally, new retail developments are planned, including Park Kaszuby in Wejherowo, featuring an Auchan, and an expansion of the S1 Shopping Park in Kutno.

In the United States, a significant shift in land use is occurring in Fort Worth, Texas. Ramrock Real Estate has acquired the Ridgmar Mall, which has operated since 1976. The shopping center is slated for demolition to make way for the Ridgmar 30 Logistics Crossing, a massive logistics complex comprising six buildings totaling approximately 86,500 square meters.
