Ridley Scott to produce new Alien film linked to Prometheus
20th Century Studios is developing a new film in the ‘Alien’ franchise that will serve as a continuation of the storylines established in ‘Prometheus’ and ‘Alien: Covenant’. This project is distinct from the recent ‘Alien: Romulus’ and is not intended to be its direct sequel.
Aaron Guzikowski, known for his work on ‘Prisoners’ and the series ‘Raised by Wolves’, has been hired to write the screenplay. Ridley Scott will serve as a producer alongside Michael Pruss through their production company, Scott Free.
The narrative is expected to focus on the android character David, originally portrayed by Michael Fassbender, following the cliffhanger ending of ‘Alien: Covenant’. While the character is central to the reported plot, Fassbender’s involvement has not yet been officially confirmed. The project is currently in the early stages of development, and no director has been attached to the film.
