Ridley Scott and Monica Bellucci featured in film updates

Ridley Scott is directing the film ‘The Dog Stars’, an adaptation of Peter Heller’s 2012 novel. Set in 2035 following a deadly pandemic, the story follows Hig, played by Jacob Elordi, a survivor living at an abandoned airport in Colorado with his dog Jasper and a former soldier named Bangley, played by Josh Brolin. The plot shifts when Hig discovers a mysterious radio signal, prompting him to leave his shelter to find its source.

In other film news, Monica Bellucci made history in ‘James Bond 007: Spectre’ as the oldest actress to appear in a Bond film, playing Lucie Sciarre. Bellucci had previously auditioned for a role in the franchise in 1997, which was instead given to Teri Hatcher. The film ‘Spectre’ also featured Daniel Craig, who earned 30 million dollars for his performance, and won an Oscar for the song ‘Writing’s on the Wall’ performed by Sam Smith.
