Ridley Scott releases post-apocalyptic film Dog Stars

Director Ridley Scott has released his latest film, “Dog Stars,” a post-apocalyptic thriller based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller. Set near Denver, Colorado, ten years in the future, the story depicts a world decimated by a deadly virus and a debilitating blood disease. The narrative follows a civilian pilot, Hig (played by Jacob Elordi), and a military survivalist, Bangley (played by Josh Brolin), as they navigate a dystopian landscape.

The film marks a return to the science fiction genre for Scott, whose career has been defined by influential works such as “Alien” and “Blade Runner.” In addition to the release of “Dog Stars,” Scott has confirmed that a sequel to “Alien: Covenant” is currently in development, which would see the return of Michael Fassbender’s character, David.
