Ridley Scott releases post-apocalyptic thriller The Dog Stars

Director Ridley Scott has released his latest film, ‘The Dog Stars’, a post-apocalyptic thriller based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller. Set in Colorado in the year 2035, the story follows a former mechanic named Hig, played by Jacob Elordi, who survives a devastating flu pandemic alongside his friend Bangley, played by Josh Brolin.

The film focuses on Hig’s attempts to find civilization and connect with others in a world populated by scavengers. The cast also includes Guy Pearce and Margaret Qualley. Critics describe the work as a character-driven thriller that emphasizes evocative imagery over heavy exposition.

In addition to ‘The Dog Stars’, Scott is reportedly working on an adaptation of ‘Treasure Island’ starring Hugh Jackman and is considering turning one of his previous films into a musical. He continues to develop projects through his production company, Scott Free.
