Ridracoli and Troina inaugurate new contemporary art venues in Italy

The summer edition of the Picta Idro exhibition was inaugurated on Thursday at the Idro Ecomuseum of Ridracoli. Organized by Cava Forever Group and curated by Giuseppe Bertolino, the showcase features Italian and European contemporary artists and highlights social issues such as violence against women. The exhibition will remain open to the public until 26 July.

In Troina, the MACTRO (Museo d’Arte Contemporanea del Comune di Troina) opened in the restored 16th‑century former Carmine convent. Mayor Alfio Giachino and local officials marked the opening, emphasizing the museum’s role as a cultural hub with a permanent collection sourced from the Gino De Agrò prize, spaces for workshops, a library, and a multimedia hall. The venue aims to strengthen community life and promote contemporary art in inland Sicily.
