Rie Takahashi announces first solo album ‘Amplifier’

Voice actress and artist Rie Takahashi has announced the release of her first full-length solo album, titled ‘Amplifier’, scheduled for February 24, 2027. The announcement was made during a release event for her third EP, ‘Kimi Kanetsu-chu’, held on October 17.

The album will be released under Pandora Pops, a new label within Sony Music. Takahashi described the album title as a metaphor for taking personal emotions and thoughts—described as ‘sparks’—and amplifying them into music.

The lead track, ‘Hajimarino Hi’, is set for digital distribution starting October 18. Written and composed by Keita Tanaka with arrangement by Goro Miyazaki, the song is described as an emotional guitar-based track reflecting themes of resilience and self-belief. The album will be available in two formats: a regular edition and a first-press limited edition that includes a Blu-ray of her second live performance, ‘A Rie in Wonderland’.
