Rieti hosts 15th World Championship Chili Pepper Fair

The 15th edition of the World Championship Chili Pepper Fair has commenced in Rieti, running until September 6. The event features nearly 200 stands showcasing over 800 varieties of chili peppers from around the world.

Inaugurated by European Parliament Vice President Antonella Sberna, the festival includes institutional presence from Italian ministers and a diverse program of musical performances and agricultural competitions. The Chamber of Commerce of Rieti and Viterbo is hosting an institutional stand to promote local products and facilitate commercial contact with representatives from various embassies, including those from Mexico, Algeria, and Ghana.

The Carabinieri are also participating with an exhibition space to illustrate their activities, including the Agro-food Protection Command and the drone training section. A special appearance of the Maserati Pura vehicle used by the force is scheduled for September 5.
