Rieti launches Green Day for proper garden waste disposal

The municipal waste service ASM Rieti, in partnership with the Comune di Rieti, organized a Green Day on Saturday, 1 August 2026. From 08:00 to 14:00 residents of the city’s neighborhoods – including Madonna del Cuore, Regina Pacis, Quattro Strade, Micioccoli, Chiesa Nuova and Viale Maraini – were invited to bring garden cuttings and pruned branches to a designated collection point on Via Giotto. The event aims to promote correct disposal of green waste, prevent illegal dumping, and encourage responsible behaviour that protects urban cleanliness and the environment. Participants could use the dedicated eco‑bin for home collection or bring bags to the municipal collection centre in Casapenta, with penalties applied for non‑compliant waste disposal.
