Rieti students selected for Dominicus cultural exchange in Spain
The international project ‘Dominicus: Shared Heritage, Civic Belonging’ has reached a new milestone with the selection of students from Rieti, Italy, to participate in a cultural exchange in Caleruega, Spain. The initiative is funded by the European Commission through the CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) program.
Following a public draw held on October 9, two students, Ginevra Recchioni and Ginevra Arcefili, were selected as primary participants, with several reserves named. The students will travel to Caleruega from December 4 to 6, 2026, to engage in intercultural activities focused on the historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage of Saint Dominic de Guzmán.
The project involves a partnership between the municipality of Rieti and the partner cities of Caleruega, Spain, and Fanjeaux, France. Because the program is fully financed by direct European Union funds, there will be no costs to the participating families or the municipality of Rieti.
