Rififi series premieres on Alpha TV

The new television series ‘Rififi’, created by Sotiris Tsafoulias and produced by Cosmote TV, is set to premiere on the Alpha channel. The show is loosely inspired by a notorious 1992 bank robbery in Athens.

The narrative follows a group of six men and one woman, all connected by various forms of loss, including the loss of loved ones, property, identity, and dignity. The plot centers on a complex plan to rob a development bank by tunneling into the vault from a manhole, disguised as a maintenance crew from ETYDAP.

The first three episodes introduce Olga, an engineer at ETYDAP who leads a seemingly lonely life but secretly orchestrates a heist. She recruits several men, including Manolis and others, to execute the plan, which aims to strike at the country's banking and political foundations.
