Rififi series premieres on Alpha TV

The dramatic series ‘Rififi’, directed by Sotiris Tsafoulias, is premiering on Alpha TV. Set in December 1992, the story is inspired by a real-life high-stakes robbery that became known as ‘the heist of the century’.

The plot follows Olga, a woman driven by personal loss, who organizes a group of six men to execute a daring robbery of a Development Bank. The team, composed of individuals facing financial and personal ruin, plans to dig a 23-meter tunnel through the Ilissos riverbed to reach the bank's vault.

Disguised as workers from the ETYDAP utility company, the group risks capture and death to bypass the banking and political systems of the era. The series explores the motivations of the heterogeneous group as they prepare for the heist while dealing with internal conflicts and personal secrets.
