Riformisti per Milano launched to influence center-right politics
The ‘Riformisti per Milano’ association has been officially launched in Milan, serving as a local extension of the ‘Riformisti per l’Italia’ movement. Led by Alessandro Colucci, coordinator for Noi Moderati in Lombardy, and co-founder Fabrizio Garavaglia, the group aims to act as a ‘laboratory of ideas’ to bridge the gap between civil society and political administration.
The initiative seeks to aggregate professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, and administrators under a liberal-socialist reformist tradition. The group intends to influence the center-right coalition by introducing competent, concrete proposals to win back the city in upcoming local elections. Key policy priorities include addressing housing affordability, public safety, territorial healthcare, sustainability, mobility, and labor issues.
Colucci emphasized that the movement is not a traditional political party but a way to expand the center-right's appeal by rejecting extremist and populist trends. The group aims to combat voter abstentionism through innovative proposals that respect Milan's historical political identity.
