Riga Court upholds detention of Aleksejs Rosļikovs

The Riga City Court has ruled to uphold the detention of Aleksejs Rosļikovs, a former Riga City Council deputy.

Rosļikovs, who is currently in Belarus, is a candidate for the Stability Party in the upcoming Saeima elections, where he is listed second on the Riga party list. Svetlana Čulkova, the chairperson of the Stability Party, stated that Rosļikovs intends to return to Latvia on October 4 to continue his political activities with the party team, regardless of the election outcomes.

The Stability Party has faced internal challenges earlier this year when several deputies left the party, resulting in the dissolution of its Saeima faction.
