Riga police arrest drunk driver with 2.4 per mille blood alcohol level

Latvian State Police apprehended a driver operating a Volvo XC70 under the influence of alcohol in Riga. The incident occurred on August 11 after a witness reported a vehicle driving aggressively and unpredictably, posing a threat to other road users.

Following the report, patrol units located and stopped the vehicle on the Salu Bridge approximately ten minutes later. A breathalyzer test confirmed the driver had a blood alcohol concentration of 2.4 per mille. A criminal case has been initiated against the driver.
