Riga to host CyberShield forum for European cybersecurity leaders

The sixth annual CyberShield cybersecurity and technology forum will take place on September 24 in Riga at the Hanza Peron. The event aims to gather international experts in IT, data, and digital infrastructure, alongside high-level representatives from European cybersecurity institutions.

The forum will focus on strengthening European and Latvian cybersecurity in response to increasingly targeted cyberattacks linked to geopolitical events. Key topics include cybersecurity policy, resilience, the impact of artificial intelligence on security, and organizational capacity to respond to real-world attacks.

A leadership-level discussion for cyber incident prevention institutions will include representatives from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Finland, with Poland participating for the first time. Notable attendees include Antanas Alekna, Director of the Lithuanian National Cyber Security Centre, and Dmitrijs Ņikitins, Chief Technology Officer at Tet.
