Riga to host major European event and music industry gatherings

Riga is positioning itself as a central hub for the European event and music industries through two major upcoming gatherings.

The PULSE Forum, held on October 28 and 29 at Hanzas Peronsin, will convene professionals from 10 countries, including experts from Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The forum focuses on the business of events, immersive experience design, and global concert touring, featuring speakers such as Janne Björge of NORD CORE and Patrick Roubroeks of XSAGA. Discussions will cover the impact of major events on cities, sustainability, and the evolving relationship between agencies and clients.

Additionally, the second edition of Riga Music Week is scheduled for November 4–6 in the Tallinas Street Quarter. This event combines a city festival featuring over 50 bands with an international music industry conference. The conference will address industry shifts, such as the influence of algorithms on Spotify and TikTok, and the challenges Baltic artists face in developing international careers through domestic markets.
