Right-wing leaders plan Goiânia protest for September 7

Right-wing political leaders in Goiás are organizing a demonstration in Goiânia on September 7, Brazil's Independence Day. The mobilization, which includes candidates from the Liberal Party (PL) and the Novo party, aims to demand the impeachment of Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes and express opposition to the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The event in Goiânia is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM at Praça Tamandaré. Key participants include the candidate for governor of Goiás, Senator Wilder Morais, along with vice-gubernatorial candidate Ana Paula Rezende and Senate candidates Gustavo Gayer and Oséias Varão.

Leaders describe the movement as “supra-partisan,” intended to strengthen conservative values and right-wing political presence in the region. The mobilization follows recent controversies involving Justice Moraes and is part of a broader series of national demonstrations, including events in São Paulo.
