Rijeka Archdiocese celebrates feast of Saint Marcian

The Rijeka Archdiocese held a celebration for the feast of Saint Marcian at the city’s oldest parish church. The event brought together parishioners and pilgrims to honor the saint whose relics are kept at the site.

During the mass, Dean Goran Žan Lebović Casalonga emphasized that the veneration of relics should serve as a spiritual call to faith and community rather than just a historical or physical observation. He noted that the saints remain spiritually present and that their relics serve as signs of divine grace.
