Rijeka Archdiocese hosts first mass and baptismal ceremonies

Recent religious ceremonies were held within the Rijeka Archdiocese in Croatia. In Ogulin, Matija Luketić celebrated his first mass at the parish church of Blessed A. Stepinac in Kučinići. Luketić, a native of the area, was ordained as a priest by Archbishop Matija Uzinić in Rijeka on April 25. He is the second priest in the Luketić family following his brother Nikola's ordination in 2023.

In Rijeka, Archbishop Mate Uzinić performed a baptismal ceremony at the parish church of St. Anthony of Padua in Kantrida. The ceremony was for Rita and Karl, children of the Talajić and Nemetz families. During the service, Archbishop Uzinić spoke on the importance of openness to life and the responsibility of parents to serve as examples of service to others and the community.
