Rijeka football team heads to Slovenia for pre‑season camp and three friendly matches

Croatian club HNK Rijeka departed for its summer training base in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, where it will remain until July 3. The squad, initially listed with 28 players, will contest three preparatory friendlies against Slovenian sides Bravo, Brinje Grosuplja and Radomlje.

Key personnel updates include forward Amer Gojak among the travelers, the return of goalkeeper Dominic Iankov on loan, and the appointment of Ante Majstorović as the new captain. Young talents from Rijeka’s academy, as well as Nigerian goalkeeper David Nwolokor, are also expected to feature.

Rijeka’s season will begin on July 23 with a Conference League tie against either CSKA Sofia or Derry City, followed by the start of the domestic league in late August against Rudeš.
