Rijeka honors 35 retiring education workers

The City of Rijeka held a reception to honor 35 employees from the local education system who are retiring this year. The event, held in observance of World Teachers' Day, recognized staff from primary schools, kindergartens, and other institutions founded by the city.

Rijeka Mayor Iva Rinčić expressed gratitude for the workers' patience and knowledge, noting that their impact remains in the lives of the children they taught. Rinčić emphasized the responsibility of the teaching profession and the city's commitment to improving working conditions, professional support, and material rights for educators through collective agreements and improved standards.
