Rijeka hosts exhibition marking 80 years of the Community of Italians

The Community of Italians Rijeka has inaugurated a public exhibition titled ‘Rijeka – Fiume, Fiume – Rijeka’ on Korzo to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the organization's founding. Located in front of the City Hall, the exhibition explores the Italian community's role in the history, culture, and identity of the city.

Enea Dessardo, president of the Community of Italians, and Vedran Vivoda, deputy mayor of Rijeka, opened the event. Dessardo noted that the community was established in 1946. Vivoda emphasized that Italian culture remains an essential and inseparable part of Rijeka's local identity.

The exhibition is designed for both residents and tourists, with content presented in Italian, Croatian, and English. It is scheduled to remain on display until August 25. Further celebrations marking the anniversary are planned for November.
