Infrastructure and energy projects underway in Croatia and Montenegro

Various utility and energy infrastructure projects are underway across the region. In Croatia, Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP) has initiated an environmental impact assessment for the Vinodol reversible hydroelectric plant. The 160 MW project involves constructing the Razromir upper reservoir to store excess energy by pumping water from the existing Tribalj reservoir.

In the Split area, Vodovoda i kanalizacija Split is conducting extensive works on the Kaštela-Trogir water-communal infrastructure project. This includes building secondary sewage and water networks in Seget Donji, Seget Vranjic, and coastal areas, with works expected to last five months.

In Montenegro, Herceg Novi faces water supply restrictions from September 7 to September 17. The shortage is due to scheduled maintenance of electromechanical equipment at the Trebinje and Dubrovnik hydroelectric plants, as well as repairs to the connecting hydro-technical tunnel.
