HNK Rijeka signs winger Yusuf Kabadayi from Augsburg

HNK Rijeka has officially confirmed the signing of 22-year-old German winger Yusuf Kabadayi from Bundesliga club FC Augsburg. The transfer is a season-long loan with an option for Rijeka to purchase the player's contract at the end of the season.

Kabadayi, a former Bayern Munich academy player, arrives with experience in the Bundesliga and the Turkish Süper Lig with Gaziantep. He is described as a versatile attacker capable of playing on both wings or as a central forward, noted for his speed and dribbling abilities. Rijeka president Damir Mišković noted that the club had been scouting Kabadayi for a significant period.

Upon his presentation, Kabadayi expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating, “First impressions are very good, I really like it here... I believe Rijeka is the right environment for my further development.” He also mentioned his friendship with Dinamo Zagreb's Gabriel Vidović, who spoke highly of the Croatian league.
