Rijeka students' documentary wins Grand Prix at Dubrovnik Film Festival

The documentary film ‘The Dorm We Remember’ (Dom koji se pamti), produced by the BuraMotion film group of the Kvarner Student Dormitory in Rijeka, has won the Grand Prix for best overall film at the 15th Dubrovnik Film Festival (DUFF).

The award was granted following intense international competition involving over 500 film entries from children and youth across Mediterranean countries. The professional jury, which included Italian director Alessandro Aronadio, Croatian animator Petra Zlonoga, and actor Filip Juričić, unanimously selected the documentary for its authenticity, maturity, and emotional depth.

Produced under the mentorship of Professor Lidija Miljanović Škugor, the film explores themes of memory, the passage of time, and the connections between generations of students who have lived at the Kvarner dormitory. The winning team consists of seven students: Patrick Šćulac Hinić, Korina Šverko, Jana Vančina, Lucija Lucis, Mia Perkić, Mija Cerovski, and Božana Gvero.
