Rijeka beats Rudeš 2‑1 to launch Croatian HNL season

Rijeka opened the 2026 Croatian SuperSport HNL season with a 2‑1 victory over Rudeš at the Rujevica stadium. The home side dominated possession from the first minute and created the majority of scoring chances. Justas Lasickas opened the scoring in the 31st minute, and Daniel Adu‑Adjei doubled the lead in the 62nd minute. Rudeš reduced the deficit when substitute Stefan Vukić struck in the 70th minute, but Rijeka held on for the win.
