RIJO releases new album “Seifenblasen”
German musical duo RIJO, composed of singers Rike Mahlberg and Johanna Treffer, issued their second album “Seifenblasen” on 31 July 2026. The pair describe their sound as a blend of pop, soul, jazz and folk, featuring vocals, piano, ukulele, guitar, violin, cello and percussion. Most songs were written by Mahlberg, with several contributions from Treffer. The album’s title, meaning “soap bubbles”, reflects the group’s aim to create shimmering, emotionally resonant moments.
The track list opens with “Das RIJO‑Lied”, includes the title track “Seifenblasen”, English‑language “I always wanna live with you”, and other songs such as “Immer mehr”, “Sommertag”, “Lass los”, “Veränderung”, “Nur bei Dir”, “Zeit für mich” and “Oh Karin”. RIJO emphasizes a “goose‑bumps indicator”: a song is kept only if it moves listeners. The album is marketed to fans of German‑language pop that values personal, handcrafted arrangements.
