Rik Emmett discusses hair loss and health following Triumph tour

Rik Emmett, guitarist for the band Triumph, revealed in a recent interview that he has been dealing with alopecia areata, a condition that caused him to lose all his hair following the band’s recent comeback tour.

Emmett noted that while he felt great during the tour, the subsequent summer was difficult. He mentioned that he may wear hats frequently during future performances as he copes with the condition. Despite this, he stated that his health is good and he feels strong enough to continue performing, though not every night.

To accommodate his energy levels, Triumph’s upcoming tour schedule will be adjusted to a more reasonable pace, moving away from consecutive nightly shows to a rotation that allows for more rest between performances.
