Rikka Ihara stars in new drama ‘Wheat, Butter and Revenge’

The new Japanese drama series ‘Wheat, Butter and Revenge’ (Komugi to Butter to Fukushu to) premiered on October 7 on the Kantele and Fuji TV ‘Mizu Dora Eleven’ programming block. Starring Rikka Ihara and Ryoya Shimeshige, the series is a live-action adaptation of a popular vertical manga series.

The story follows Michiru Nozaki (Ihara), a successful bread instructor whose seemingly perfect life collapses when she discovers her husband’s infidelity. Following a fatal accident, Michiru experiences a time leap, waking up two years in the past to her former life as an advertising agency employee. The narrative focuses on her attempt to seek revenge and restart her life and career.
