Rikki Rockett discusses Poison reunion prospects and upcoming memoir
Poison drummer Rikki Rockett has addressed both his upcoming memoir and the current status of the band. His memoir, titled ‘Ghost Notes’, co-written with Leif Eriksson and Martin Svensson, is scheduled for release on September 15 via Rare Bird Books. Rockett noted that he delayed the publication to avoid embarrassing his parents while they were alive and expressed a desire to provide context for his life and career to his children.
Regarding the band’s future, Rockett indicated that a reunion in 2027 remains a possibility. A planned 40th-anniversary tour was previously derailed due to compensation disputes involving frontman Bret Michaels. Rockett clarified that he spoke out about the financial disagreements to correct inaccurate public information regarding the band’s earnings distribution. While no dates are currently confirmed for 2026 or 2027, Rockett expressed hope that a resolution could be reached.
