Rikuro Ojisan no Mise opens new flagship store in Osaka

Rikuro Ojisan no Mise, the popular Osaka-based sweets retailer, is undergoing changes to its Umeda locations. The Daimaru Umeda store will undergo partial renovations starting September 24, which will result in a temporary suspension of its freshly baked cheesecake sales from September 24 through November 23. During this period, customers can still purchase pre-baked cheesecakes at the adjacent “Plus” store or via the “Riclocker” pickup service.

Simultaneously, a new flagship location, Rikuro Ojisan no Mise Grand Front Osaka, is scheduled to open on September 24 at Grand Front Osaka South Building B1. This new site will feature an on-site factory dedicated to freshly baked cheesecakes and includes “Riku Cafe fika,” a 46-seat cafe offering exclusive menu items such as “Bokujo Toast” and cafe lattes. The new store design incorporates elements from the brand's original 42-year-old shop design.
