Riley Green discusses new album, acting debut, and touring life

Country music artist Riley Green is expanding his career through new music, acting, and touring. During an appearance on CBS Mornings, Green discussed his upcoming album, ‘That’s Just Me’, which is scheduled for release in mid-September.

Green also revealed his transition into acting, noting that actor Luke Grimes helped facilitate his debut role in the CBS drama ‘Marshals’. Green described the opportunity as an organic progression from his music career and expressed that while acting is more intimidating than performing on stage, he is interested in the craft.

Regarding his personal life, Green provided a brief, one-word confirmation to Gayle King regarding his relationship status. He has previously noted that his heavy touring schedule and desire for privacy make maintaining a relationship challenging.

During a recent stop on his ‘Damn Country Music Tour’ in Montreal, Green also shared a humorous anecdote about a nonsensical pickup line passed down from his father, which involves telling a woman she is so beautiful he ‘lost hearing in his left eye’.
