Rileys Cove named International Band of the Year

Somerset-based musical duo Rileys Cove has been named International Band of the Year by the International Singer-Songwriters Association (ISSA). The award was presented at an annual ceremony held at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Comprised of vocalist Michelle Mitchell and guitarist Ian Scott, the duo previously gained recognition during the pandemic for their single ‘Without’. Their recent success follows the March 2026 release of their EP, ‘Listen Carefully’, which features a blend of acoustic, folk, and country-inspired songwriting.

The group, who have performed at the Glastonbury Festival, noted the significance of receiving international recognition as an independent band from rural Somerset.
