Rimac Technology and ECOBLOX partner on modular AI data centers

Rimac Technology and ECOBLOX have signed a Joint Development Agreement to create modular data center (MDC) solutions specifically designed for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The partnership aims to address the increasing demands for power density, cooling capacity, and deployment space required by modern AI workloads.

The integrated solution will combine Rimac Technology’s automotive-grade battery modules and high-voltage power electronics with ECOBLOX’s AI computing infrastructure. The design incorporates Rimac’s UNI battery modules and a Battery Management System (BMS) to provide real-time monitoring and extended backup power for critical equipment. This telemetry will integrate with ECOBLOX’s data center infrastructure management (DCIM) platform.

ECOBLOX, an NVIDIA Preferred Partner, provides modular architecture, GPU infrastructure integration, and both air- and liquid-cooling solutions. The first modular data center is expected to be installed near Zagreb in November 2026.
