Rimini and Forlì airports target 1 million passengers

Regional President Michele de Pascale has called for improved airport infrastructure to support tourism, noting that the Rimini and Forlì airports are approaching one million passengers. He emphasized the need for a regional airport system that supports smaller hubs to grow alongside Bologna.

In Rimini, local authorities are planning the 2027-2029 budget with a focus on the Federico Fellini Airport. The goal is to strengthen international promotion to capitalize on the rising share of foreign tourists, which has increased from 22% to 33% over the last decade.

Additionally, de Pascale addressed industrial concerns regarding potential layoffs and disinvestment from companies like Electrolux and Volkswagen, citing a lack of cohesive industrial policy. Other regional priorities include healthcare funding and housing policies.
