Rimini councilor seeks updates on third A14 motorway toll booth project

Nicola Marcello, a city and regional councilor for Fratelli d'Italia, has submitted a formal inquiry to the Rimini City Council regarding the progress of the proposed third A14 motorway toll booth near the Rimini Fair.

The inquiry seeks clarification on the status of the feasibility study, potential routes, and necessary resources. Specifically, Marcello is asking whether a formal protocol, agreement, or convention has been signed between the Municipality of Rimini and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to facilitate the project.

Following a unanimous council approval in February 2025, the municipality submitted a project proposal to the Ministry and Autostrade per l'Italia. Recent discussions have reportedly focused on establishing a memorandum of understanding. In response to the inquiry, Public Works Assessor Mattia Morolli suggested that the councilor should direct his questions to the Ministry and local parliamentarians rather than the current administration.
