Rimini Court revokes legal aid for man living a luxury lifestyle
The Court of Rimini has upheld the revocation of state-funded legal aid for a 31-year-old man of Albanian origin. Although the individual had previously been granted legal aid based on a declared annual income of 11,500 euros, evidence revealed a lifestyle inconsistent with such financial constraints.
Investigations into the man's mobile phone uncovered images of large sums of cash, cocaine, and a luxury lifestyle involving high-end hotels, expensive cars, and frequent dinners featuring oysters and champagne. The court rejected his appeal against the revocation, noting that his actual economic status did not align with his claims of indigence. The man is currently facing criminal proceedings related to drug trafficking.
