Rimini featured at Rome Film Festival with ‘Cagnàz’ and ‘Ultimo Fellini’

The first two episodes of the new Rai crime series ‘Cagnàz’ were premiered at the Rome Film Festival. Directed by Alessandro Roia and written by Carlo Lucarelli and Gianpiero Rigosi, the series was filmed in Rimini and the surrounding Romagna Riviera.

The show follows an unlikely investigative duo: Marco Cagnani (known as ‘Cagnàz’), an unpredictable local living on a boat, and Roberto Ossani, a more disciplined colleague from Milan. The production, a collaboration between Garbo and Rai Fiction with support from the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission, aims to present a darker, more ironic side of the region, moving away from typical postcard imagery to explore local criminal interests and secrets.

Additionally, the festival hosted a preview of ‘Ultimo Fellini’, a film by Gianluigi Attorre exploring the final decade of the life and work of the famous Rimini-born director Federico Fellini.
