Rimini hosts Italian dance sport championships as schools claim multiple titles

The FIDESM Italian Dance Sport Championships took place in Rimini from July 4 to 12, 2026, drawing athletes from across the country. At the event, Irodance Academy from Teramo secured the national title in the Class A hip‑hop category, with Martina Tassoni and Emily Danesi leading the victory.

Scuola di Danza Impero Latino, based in Misterbianco, achieved a broad medal haul. Lorena Prima became Under‑21 Class A solo Latin champion and, together with Luca Paratore, earned silver as Vice‑champion in the Show Latin class. Greta Nicolosi won the Under‑13 Class B solo title, while Maria Fichera captured bronze in the 14‑15 Class B solo Latin division. Antonio Calcagno and Rita Musumeci were Vice‑champions in both the Over‑17 Show Latin and Over‑17 Modern Contemporary categories. Additional podium finishes were recorded across various age and style categories, highlighting the depth of talent showcased at the national competition.
