Rimini hosts Pietracuta in midweek football derby

Rimini is set to host Pietracuta Calcio at the Romeo Neri stadium for a midweek championship match. The fixture carries significant local sentiment, as Pietracuta represents a small community of approximately 1,500 inhabitants from the Valmarecchia region.

In a celebratory letter, Pietracuta supporters expressed their respect for Rimini, noting a historical connection between the Valmarecchia area and the city. While they support Rimini’s promotion goals before and after the match, they emphasized their commitment to cheering for Pietracuta during the game.

Rimini coach Massimo Gadda has warned his team against complacency following a recent victory against Imola. He described Pietracuta as an extremely solid opponent, noting they have lost only two matches in nine outings, making the upcoming derby a critical test for the Biancorossi.
