Rimini hosts sustainable fashion events and social tailoring initiatives
Rimini is hosting several initiatives focused on sustainable and social fashion. As part of the Festa del Borgo Sant'Andrea, the “Sfilata Eco-Couture” will take place in Piazza Mazzini on October 11. Curated by Liana Berti and presented by Fabulous Agency, the event features clothing made from recycled fabrics and waste materials. The fashion show will be integrated with live musical performances, including vocals by Dalila, violin by Lucia Solerino, and a DJ set by Fabiana Acquisti.
In a separate initiative, the “Rivestiti – Punto a capo” festival recently concluded at the Museo della Città in Rimini. The event focused on ethical fashion, human rights, and ecological transition through workshops and talks. A key outcome of the festival is the launch of “Abiti Liberi,” a social tailoring project promoted by Lazzaro. The festival also featured the “Rimini Social Runway,” a parade involving diverse members of the community rather than professional models to promote inclusivity.
