Sangineto nightclub assault leads to death of security guard
Antonio Perrotta, a 34-year-old security guard, has died following a violent assault outside a nightclub in Sangineto, Calabria. The incident occurred during the night between Saturday and Sunday.
According to reports, a dispute began inside the establishment and escalated when Perrotta was confronted and beaten by a group of individuals after exiting the venue. Although he initially returned home, his condition deteriorated rapidly, characterized by severe pain and nasal bleeding. After being treated in Cetraro, he was transferred to the intensive care unit at the hospital in Cosenza, where he succumbed to multiple injuries across his body.
Law enforcement agencies, including the State Police and Carabinieri, are conducting investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paola. Authorities are currently working to identify the perpetrators and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area to reconstruct the events.
